Trickster Bunny’s Happy Easter

Easter Stories, Grade 3 Level, Trickster Bunny Stories

“Hi Fred,” said Trickster Bunny as he greeted his best friend, Fred Fox. “I just saw the Easter Bunny. I am going to be helping him this Easter.”

“Are you serious?” asked Fred. “Now that sounds pretty cool.”

“So,” said Trickster. “If you want lots of chocolate for Easter than you will have to do as I say.”

“That is alright with me,” said Fred.

“Okay,” said Trickster. “Can I get you to pick some carrots for me?”

“Sure,” said Fred. “I can do that.”

Fred picked some carrots for Trickster. Once he was finished doing that, then Trickster got Fred to wash them and carry them home for him. Fred did all this for Trickster without so much as a single complaint. All Fred could think of was all the chocolate he was going to get.

It wasn’t long before Trickster got Fred to do all his chores for him. Fred did them, all without complaining. However, it wasn’t long before the Easter Bunny found out what Trickster was doing to Fred. The Easter Bunny decided that he better go pay a visit to Trickster.

“Trickster,” said the Easter Bunny. “What are you doing to poor Fred Fox? You do know that you are being mean to him.”

“Yes,” said Trickster, hanging his head low with shame. “I do know.”

“Well,” said the Easter Bunny. “If you want to still help me for Easter, you are going to apologize to Fred and then you are going to do all of Fred’s chores for him from now until Easter.”

Trickster went to Fred’s house immediately after his visit from the Easter Bunny. Fred was washing the dishes.

“Here,” said Trickster, grabbing the dishcloth from Fred. “I will do these for you.”

“Oh,” said Fred, surprised. “That would be wonderful.”

“I am sorry that I took advantage of you and made you do all my chores,” said Trickster. “That was mean of me and to make it up to you, I will do your chores until Easter.”

“But,” said Fred. “What about the extra chocolate you said I would get?”

“I think the Easter Bunny will look after both of us just fine,” said Trickster.

Trickster did all of Fred’s chores for him without a single complaint.

“You did very well,” said Easter Bunny when Trickster showed up to help him on Easter morning. “I am proud of you.”

“Thank you,” said Trickster. “So, what would you like me to help you with?”

“You can deliver this big basket of chocolate to Fred,” said Easter Bunny. “Then, I have one for you as well. Happy Easter.”

Trickster did have a very happy Easter. Fred was very pleased with all the chocolate he received for Easter.

“Happy Easter,” said Fred.

“Yes,” said Trickster. “It is a very happy Easter.”
