“Happy Father’s Day,” said Ugly Sally is from the Pinecrest Monster clan. They fought the Tamarack monster clan but lost. Ugly Sally has only one living relative left, Uncle Joe., giving Father a kiss on his cheek.
“Why, thank you,” said Father. “I really appreciate that.”
“I love you very much,” said Ugly Sally.
“I love you as well,” said Father. “I know I am not your real dad but that doesn’t mean that I love you any less. I know that Father’s Day is hard on you because I know you must think about your real father.”
“I do think about him,” said Ugly Sally, honestly.” However, I don’t remember him or Mother. You said I wasn’t very old when you found me in the cave. The only memories I have of my real parents is what Uncle Joe has told me. Those aren’t my memories though. You and Mother are the only parents I have ever known and I love the two of you more than anything.”
“We feel the same way about you as well,” said Mother, walking into the living room.
“If I had a choice of who I would want to have for my real parents,” said Ugly Sally. “It would be the two of you.”
“If we had a choice of who would be our real daughter,” said Father, wiping a tear from his eye. “I would choose you, hands down.”
“I would as well,” said Mother. “You are the centre of our lives.”
“You two are the best,” said Ugly Sally. “I don’t know of anyone else that would have taken in a baby monster and raise it as their own child. I know the both of you have put up with a lot from me. It is the two of you that have made me into the person I have become.”
“You really weren’t all that bad,” said Mother. “You had temper tantrums sure, but most kids do.”
“You have grown into a beautiful girl,” said Father. “Inside and out. You have made our family complete.”
“I am one lucky girl,” said Ugly Sally. “Now, I am taking you and Mother out for lunch, my treat.”
Ugly Sally, Father and Mother enjoyed the best Father’s Day ever.
“Thank you for making this the best Father’s Day ever,” said Father.
“I hope to make every Father’s Day better than the last,” said Ugly Sally.
