“Let’s go for a drive,” said Grampy, one summer morning, while out in his garage.

“Oh,” said Grampy’s Little Green Car, happily. “I can hardly wait. I love going for drives.”

Grampy sat in the drivers seat and put the key in the ignition. He turned the key and his little green car started up right away. Grampy smiled. He was happy about how good the car started.

“You sound really good,” said Grampy, pulling his little green car out of the garage and down the driveway. “I love when you are running good.”

Grampy’s Little Green Car was enjoying his drive with Grampy. They were driving through the backroads of Lindsay, Ontario. They saw lots of fields and old farmhouses.

“This is such beautiful country,” said Grampy.

“Yes it is,” said Grampy’s Little Green Car, honking it’s horn in agreement.

“Oh look,” said Grampy, pointing ahead. “An old-fashioned ice-cream parlour.”

Grampy pulled into the parking lot and he ordered a three scoop strawberry ice-cream cone. He sat in his car and ate his ice-cream cone.

“I love this ice-cream cone,” said Grampy.

Grampy was going to start up his little green car when he noticed that a bee had gotten in his car. It was on the windshield. The bee tickled the little green car’s windshield so, the little green car sprayed it’s windshield wiper fluid onto the windshield.

“That isn’t going to help,” laughed Grampy. “The bee is on the inside. I will just roll up the newspaper that is on the back seat and hit the bee with it.”

“No!” yelled the bee. “Please don’t swat me! My name is Beatrice BeeBeatrice BeeBeatrice Bee is a worker bee that was fired from her job and banished from her hive by Queen Bee because she liked to fool around too much. She finds Bed Tyme Tales Storyland and decides to make that her new home.. I was flying around Bed Tyne Tales Storyland and I noticed your little green car. I was just admiring it.”

“I am sorry that I was going to hit you with the newspaper,” said Grampy. “I was just afraid you would sting me.”

“Oh good,” said Grampy.

“How long have you had your car?” asked Beatrice.

“Quite a long time,” said Grampy. “I got it in the’ 70’s.”

“That is a long time,” said Beatrice.

“Almost 50 years,” said Grampy.

“That is a long time,” said Beatrice.

“It sure is,” said Grampy. “I love this car. I will never get rid of this car. Why don’t you sit on the passenger seat and I will take you for a drive?”

“I would love that,” said Beatrice.

Beatrice flew down onto the passenger seat and Grampy took her for a drive.

“Thank you,” said Beatrice, “when Grampy was finished driving. “That was a very nice drive.”

“You are welcome,” said Grampy. “Anytime.”

Grampy and Beatrice became good friends. Grampy took her on several drives. She enjoyed herself very much.
