FawnFawnFawn and Spot live on a ranch in Calgary, Alberta. They are owned by Mr. and Mrs. Hansen and their children Jenny and Ricky.,” said Spot, looking at the calendar that was hung on the wall of the kitchen. “The month of July is now over. We are into August already.”

“Are you serious?” asked Fawn. “That can’t be right. Where did July go? It seems like it was June just a few days ago.”

“I know,” said Spot. “July just flew by.”

“I feel like we have lost summer,” said Fawn.

“I say we to make the most out of the rest of the summer,” said Spot.

“That is a good idea because I don’t want to lose the rest of the summer,” said Fawn.

“Let’s make a plan,” said Spot.

“I want to go to the zoo,” said Fawn.

“Perfect,” said Spot. “I want to go on a picnic.”

“Can we have our picnic by the lake?” asked Fawn.

“I don’t see why not,” said Spot. “I want to go to the craft fair.”

“Isn’t that right beside the farmers market?” asked Fawn.

“Yes,” said Spot. “It is.”

“Good,” said Fawn. “They have all that good yummy candy that I like.”

“True,” said Spot. “They also have lots of fresh fruits and vegetables.”

“I want to go to see a movie this summer,” said Fawn.

“Oh yes,” said spot. “That is a good idea. Which one did you want to see?”

“I want to see the one that has popcorn,” said Fawn. “You know, the one that has all that melted butter on it.”

“Fawn,” said Spot. “All movie theatres sell popcorn.”

“That is what I want,” said Fawn. “A movie with lots of popcorn smothered in melted butter.”

“I will pick the movie,” said spot. “That is quite a few really good activities for us to do the rest of the summer.”

“At least we won’t lose the rest of summer,” said Fawn.

“Very true,” said Spot.
