Victor – A Monster’s Diary – Entry 23 – Christmas Memories

Christmas Stories, Christmas Story Challenge 2017, Grade 5 Level, Victor - A Monster's Diary Stories

Dear Diary:

It is Christmas Eve. I am sitting in my library all alone. I was going to put up a Christmas tree but knew that would be too much of a chore for a 200 year old monster to do by myself. Instead, I sat and reminisced about Christmas in the past. I thought about the Christmases I had with my two children, Emily and Joshua, Christmases before Helga put a spell on me that turned me into a monster.

It felt good to reminisce. I am glad that at 200 years old, I still had my memories. I was very thankful for that.

I was in such deep thought about Christmases in the past, that I did not hear my doorbell ring. I did however, hear the loud thumping at the door. I was shocked to see my great-great-great-great-grandson, David, at the door.

David immediately saw that I was alone. He saw my shoes in the hallway and my jacket hanging in the hallway. He helped me put them on and informed me that I wasn’t going to spend Christmas alone.
