Just Girlz’ Christmas Concert

“Wonderful!” exclaimed Suzie, getting off the phone with her uncle, rock-star, Billy TrollBilly TrollBilly Troll is a singer/songwriter. He is a troll that lives in Troll Town. He has a wife, Dianne, who is his concert promoter. They have two children. Billy's enemy is Mick Troll from the Jagged Trolls.. “I can’t wait to the tell the girls. They are going to be so excited.”

“A Christmas concert with your uncle,” said Mollie, when Suzie told her about the plans her uncle had made. “Oh that is going to be awesome!”

Suzie and Mollie told Crystal and Marie about the concert and they were very excited as well. The girls had all been so busy with school lately that they hadn’t had time to even think about their music. However, they knew they had to do this Christmas concert. They would just have to make the time to do it. It was a big opportunity for them to be playing on the same stage as Billy Troll, who was, by far, the best singer in all of Troll Town.

About a week before Christmas, Crystal didn’t show up to practice and it was very odd because the girls knew that Crystal was very committed to doing this concert. They held their practice session without her but that evening, on their way home, they stopped by Crystal’s house to see what the problem was.

“I’m sorry girls,” said Crystal’s housekeeper at the doorway. “Crystal is in the hospital. She was hit by a car. Her mom and dad are there with her right now.”

“Oh my!” gasped all three girls, with tears forming in their eyes.

“Is she going to be alright?” asked Suzie, choking back tears.

“We hope so,” said the housekeeper. “She is conscious so that is a good sign.”

Suzie asked the housekeeper if she could use her telephone for a second. She called her Uncle Billy.

“Uncle Billy,” cried Suzie. “Crystal has been a car accident. She’s in the hospital.”

“Oh dear!” exclaimed Billy. “Where are you? Do you want to go see her?”

“Yes,” said Suzie. “We are at Crystal’s house right now.”

“Okay wait there,” said Billy. “I’ll be right there.”

Billy came to pick the girls up and they all went to the hospital to see Crystal.

“It looks like she is going to be just fine,” said Crystal’s dad when the girls saw him in the waiting room.

“Thank goodness,” said Billy.

“We were so worried about her,” said Suzie, relieved to hear that her band-mate was going to be okay.

“Yes,” said Crystal’s mother. “I know you were.”

“We are so sorry that this happened,” said Mollie.

“Well the good thing is Crystal is going to be fine,” said Crystal’s dad.

“Yes,” said Marie. “That is a good thing.”

“I don’t know how to tell you girls this,” said Crystal’s mother. “But Crystal is in a cast and I’m afraid she won’t able to make it to the concert. She did break both her legs.”

“Oh no!” exclaimed Mollie. “What will be do without Crystal?”

“Let’s not worry about that right now,” said Billy Troll, wanting to keep the girls from getting too excited and worried. “I know someone else that can sing.”

Billy Troll met Suzie, Mollie and Marie at their next practice and he brought his wife, Dianne Troll with him.

“Meet your new singer,” said Billy.

“You can sing, Aunt Dianne?” asked Suzie.

“Yes,” said Dianne. “I can sing but I’m not going to be as good as Crystal.”

Dianne practiced with the girls that night. While she could never replace Crystal, she sure did sound pretty good.

The night of the Christmas concert rolled around. Billy Troll had a special surprise for the girls. He had arranged for the hospital to let Crystal attend the concert, backstage.

“You girls were amazing!” exclaimed Crystal, after the concert with tears in her eyes.

“Thank you!” cried Suzie, Mollie and Marie, each giving Crystal a big hug.

“Thank you so much for filling in for me,” said Crystal to Dianne. “I really appreciated it.”

“No problem,” said Dianne.

“Now Crystal,” said Billy. “You must get back to the hospital and get well before my wife gets this idea into her head to become a rock-star.”
